Creating enabling temperature control technology to allow for greater utilization of the International Space Station (ISS) and to facilitate greater scientific experimentation in low Earth orbit.
We have been selected to develop a next generation temperature stowage solution for NASA in collaboration with Space Tango, Inc. Our systems are being developed to maintain the temperature of scientific experiments during ascent and descent to and from the ISS on missions under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services contracts as well as while on orbit. Micro Q Technologies aims to use its expertise in terrestrial temperature controlled shipping solutions to ensure the scientific integrity of experiments and allow for the expansion of scientific discovery on orbit.
Microgravity induces changes in organisms ranging from viruses and bacteria, changes in cellular function and physiology, and 3D aggregation of cells. Scientific experiments on the ISS include studies of stem cells, tissues-on-chips, organs-on-chips, crystallization of proteins, drug delivery systems, evaluation of cancer therapies, and other critical areas of research.
The ISS provides a unique research environment with the power to accelerate and advance terrestrial studies and the creation of new solutions that we on Earth can benefit from. Micro Q Technologies is proud to be able to support research and discovery on the ISS.
